Introduction of Braided Sleeving

Braided Sleeving, also be called Expandable Sleeving, it has great performance of abrasion resistance, elasticity, fire resistance and mechanical protection, which is widely used in optical fibers, computer cables, HDMI cables, DVI cables, power cables, and inner wiring  for automotives, airplanes, home appliances, locomotive etc.

Here we will introduce it from two aspects

1.The Formation Raw Material of Braided Sleeving

PET(Polyethylene Terephthalate): Operate at -50℃-+150℃ (-58°F -302°F)

Nylon (Polyamide 6.6): -60℃-+160℃ (-76°F -320°F)

PBT(polybutylene Terephthalate): -50℃-+150℃ (-58°F -302°F)

Nomex: -60℃-+240℃. Strong mechanical toughness, non-combustible, acid and alkali resistant, light weight.

Bare Copper & Tinned Copper: -40℃-+150℃ (-40°F -302°F)

Between them, PET and Nylon are most commonly seen. PET Braided Sleeving has good Scalability and heat risistance, also with cost advantage. While Nylon Braided Sleeving has much better abrasion resistance property
